Not sure how I’m even letting this one go but here we are 😆 This antique French confit potchecks all of the boxes - a mustard yellow glaze, earthy bottom, and the perfect amount of wear to show that it was well loved. These date back to the 19th century and were used as a way to preserve meats such as duck, pork and goose by burying the bottoms in the ground for cold storage.
This one is on the smaller size measuring 9” tall and 5.5” in diameter at the opening.
